7 Pet-Friendly Hotels In Hua Hin For Road Trips With Your Pooch

There’s nothing quite like a long romantic stroll along the beach with the one you truly love: your dog.

As many of us are dying to get out of the city, and airline travel still doesn’t feel all too comfortable, many of us are taking road trips outside of Bangkok for some fresh air and a change of scenery. The sea breeze can be great for your mental health, and getting away from the chaos of the Big Mango can be wholly refreshing. But why should only humans get to enjoy all this good stuff?

As much as staycations are becoming a trend in the city, petcations are an increasing trend by the beach. An opportunity for your dogs to run along the shore and enjoy the kind of spacious landscapes they could only dream of in Bangkok, it’s a nice way to get some exercise and bond with your furry family members.

Here, we’ve put together seven pet-friendly hotels in Hua Hin that warmly welcome both you and up to two of your pets. Of course, it’s important to respect the hotel pet policies and guidelines, and ensure your pupper is on proper behaviour at all times — but we know we can trust this of your good boy. From pet beds to gourmet treats, read on for our pick of the mix.

One of our favourites on this list, it’s hard not to love the SO Sofitel Hua Hin even as a human. Artsy and playful in design, it’s long been a haven for couples and families seeking a colourful escape. For “furkids” the resort offers plenty of pet-friendly options too, ranging from SO Comfy rooms over to the SO Pool Villa. These are designed to be extra spacious, and the villas even come with their own private pool deck. Tanning session with your pet? Sundowners by the pool? Impromptu swimsuit dance pawty? You got it.
