The Yoga Capital of the World is again inviting yogis from all over the globe to come and participate in a collective spiritual transformation, and a metamorphosis of the mind and the body at the International Yoga Festival 2019. By Shubhanjana Das
So ladies, this International Women’s Week why not gift yourself and your BFFs a 7-day transformative yogic experience? If Rishikesh is good enough for The Beatles, it is good enough for all of us, right?
When:
The International Yoga Festival is scheduled to be held from March 1st to March 7th 2019.
Where:
The venue for the festival is Parmarth Niketan in Rishikesh.
What:
The International Yoga Festival is a ground for like-minded, spiritual seekers and peace-lovers to come together and immerse themselves in yoga for seven days. Rishikesh is home to the most experienced and old sages, yogis, rishis and saints. It has always been revered by those who have a deep regard for yoga and its impact on the human mind and body.
What to Expect:
* Learn every asana and style of yoga there is from trained and experienced yoga teachers, spiritual leaders, and wellness specialists who gather from all over the world for this occasion.
* At Parmarth Niketan, which is one of the largest interfaith institutions in India, everyone is welcomed and embraced. So, expect to meet like-minded people from all over the world, belonging to different cultures, religions and faiths.
* The day starts with Kundalini Sadhana at 4 am in the morning and ends at 9:30 pm in the night with cultural performances, kirtan and other forms of entertainment performed by the banks of the Ganga. However, there is no obligation on what your day should look like during the festival. You will be welcome to customise the day according to how you like it.
* Learn the best from the best. No matter if you are a beginner or a pro who wishes to be a yoga teacher, there is something to take away from the festival for everyone.
Things to Remember:
Your stay and food will be taken care of once you register for the festival on their official website. There are multiple tiers to choose from, all of which have residential plans. You can also sign up for certain workshops or events instead of the whole plan. Suit your convenience accordingly. Don’t forget to pack enough warm clothes beside your yoga pants for it will be relatively colder than the rest of the country in Rishikesh.
How to Reach:
One can reach Rishikesh via flights and trains from almost all the major cities in the country through Jolly Grant Airport at Dehradun followed by a cab. It is also easily accessible by bus from Delhi.
