The only good thing to have come out of the pandemic, if anything, is the concept of workations. And if you love the hills, Lagom Stay, a vacation rental home in Jagatsukh village, six kilometres from Manali in Himachal Pradesh, is the perfect place for it.

Run by brother-sister duo Gandharv and Priyanka, the two, four-room cottages here are ideal for anyone who has always dreamt of having a home in the hills. Imagine waking up to a beautiful garden overlooking the snow-capped mountains followed by a hike to the nearby forest that ends at a beautiful water stream, you could eat breakfast next to the gushing sound of the Beas river—it’s pure bliss!

At Lagom Stay, Gandharv and Priyanka curate experiences for guests depending on one’s interest. Whether it’s a walk amidst the beautiful deodar forest on a starry night or cycling in the Kullu valley, you can experience it all. Foodies can also gorge on authentic Himachali meals cooked and served by the local ladies at their homes.
