In a first, the ‘Immersive Van Gogh’ Exhibit produced by Lighthouse Immersive that was set to go live on May 1, will now be opened as a drive-in from June 1 for the public. The all-encompassing experience titled — Gogh By Car — will be a combination of art, light, sound and movement. The exhibition will go on until the end of September.
Only 14 vehicles will be allowed to enter at a time for a particular slot. The visual splendour will give each participant 35 minutes to soak in the mesmerising sight of the world’s most incredible artworks. The organisers have said that the show will evoke emotions and the inner consciousness of the artist.

The original trendsetter of the immersive digital art experiences is Paris’ Atelier des Lumières exhibition, which welcomed two million visitors worldwide. The organisers of Immersive Van Gogh exhibition were hoping for a similar success until the launch was halted by the outbreak of the Novel Coronavirus. The ban on social gatherings had resulted in the cancellation of the sold-out exhibition.
Art lovers will also be able to explore the five-storey exhibit on foot from July onwards. The organisers are looking to reduce the capacity and ensure strict compliance of social distancing measures amid fear of COVID-19.
