Vietnam’s low-cost airline, Vietjet, recently announced nine new routes between India and Vietnam, connetcing three Indian cities to three Vietnamese tourist hubs. As the world opens up for travel, Vietnam has also been working on attracting more tourists. The country’s low-cost air carrier, Vietjet, recently announced that it will be launching nine new services to connect three Vietnamses tourist hubs with three Indian cities, just weeks after announcing routes between five Indian cities to the coastal destination of Da Nang in Vietnam.

The airlines has announced new services from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, taking passengers to the Indian cities of Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. The Hanoi flights will start on September 27 (Ahmedabad), October 7 (Hyderabad) and November 2 (Bengaluru), while the Ho Chi Minh City routes will start from September 29 (Ahmedabad), October 8 (Hyderabad) and November 1 (Bengaluru). The carrier had earlier announced connectivity between Da Nang and New Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad. These routes are set to begin from the third quarter of 2022 (November, according to latest updates), and will have between four to seven return flights operating in a week, the airlines said in a statement, reports Hindustan Times.
This news comes weeks after the airline announced new routes between New Delhi/Mumbai and Hanoi, along with New Delhi/Mumbai and Ho Chi Minh City. Vietjet already operates on four routes at the moment – New Delhi/Mumbai – Hanoi and New Delhi/Mumbai – Ho Chi Minh City, and plans to begin New Delhi/Mumbai to Phu Quoc have already been announced, to increase connectivity between the countries and boost travel and tourism.
According to Zee News, this event also marks Vietjet’s announcement to include Da Nang’s tourism symbol on its fleet, to promote the city as a tourist destination across the world. The media house reported the airline company’s Vice President Nguyen Thanh Son as saying, “Vietjet believes that the new routes announced today (June 27) will continue to contribute to opening more opportunities, promoting economic, trade, and business investment between Da Nang and other Vietnamese cities and regional destinations.”
