Qatar is soon set to launch new superyacht luxury cruise experiences for travellers. These cruises will offer seven night-eight day itineraries from Doha. Here’s what we know. By Anushka Goel
Soon, those visiting Qatar will be able to hop aboard a luxury cruise and indulge in the experience of a lifetime. Qatar Tourism has recently tied up with Emerald Cruises, to start sailing in the country from January 2023, reports Cruise Industry News (CIN).

These superyacht luxury cruises will begin in Doha. The Emerald Azzura will offer seven night-eight day itineraries from Doha, with stops at Sir Bani Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, Khasab in Oman, Fujairah in the UAE, Zighy Bay in Oman, and Dubai (and vice versa).
Travellers will get to experience the best of the Middle Eastern landscapes amid all the luxury and comfort they can get. What’s more, according to BW Hotelier, the company will also offer pre and post-cruise tours, wherein tourists can avail of three-day packages to explore Qatar’s beautiful sites and culture.
These tours will include sites such as the National Museum of Qatar or a visit to Souq Waqif, for travellers to pick up gifts and souvenirs to bring back home. What’s more, visitors can get the complete desert experience with a camel ride and dune bashing, and visit the Inland Sea as well.

Qatar has been, in recent years, adapting to new strategies to bring up tourism in the country. And the news of the luxury cruise in Qatar comes as construction of the Grand Cruise Terminal in Doha is being built, reports CIN. The portal reported Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Tourism, Berthold Trenkel, as saying, “In line with Qatar National Vision 2030, we are expanding our tourism value proposition and are excited to welcome travellers to experience the best of Qatari hospitality on sea and land. The new itineraries launching with Emerald Cruises are another step towards achieving this vision.”
BW Hotelier reported Rob Voss, the COO, Scenic Group, which includes Emerald Cruises, as saying, “We are delighted to take our new superyacht, Emerald Azzurra, to Doha next winter. In partnership with Qatar Tourism, our guests will experience first-hand and in luxury yachting style, the immersive beauty and hospitality the Gulf region and Qatar have to offer.”
