The Coronavirus lockdown had left many people unprepared and stranded in different parts of the country. But it was not just people but the pets too who bore the brunt of the lockdown.
An ‘all-pet’ private jet is all set to transport pets who were stranded from their owners due to the COVID-19 lockdown in Delhi. The private chartered jet idea came about thanks to 25-year-old Deepika Singh while arranging for relatives to fly out from Delhi to Mumbai.

Since some passengers refused to travel with pets, Singh decided to arrange for another jet to safely bring the pets home, who would have otherwise had to travel through cargo shipments.
A cyber-security researcher by profession, Singh got in touch with Accretion Aviation and put forth her requirements for a six-seater aircraft for the pets. While the total cost of the plane costs INR 9.06 lakhs, the cost of each of the seats comes at INR 1.6 lakhs each.

So far, four people have signed up for the rescue flight and the passengers include two Shih Tzus, one Golden Retriever, and one Lady Pheasant bird. Singh and the other pet parents are hoping to find two more pets to come on-board to bring the total to a six, after which the jet can take-off.
The aviation company will take all the necessary COVID-19 steps for the animals and their handlers. Temperature checks will be taken prior to boarding and the pets will travel in cages. If you or someone you know want to book a seat on this all-pet jet, then you can drop an email at safepetride@gmail.com
