The Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru is known for its grandeur interiors. The airport made its way to the Most Punctual Airlines and Airports in 2022 list with 84.08 percent of flights departing on time. And, with its T2 terminal shifting to only international flights soon, we thought it was time for you to have a look at how stunning the Bengaluru airport is.
Spread over 4,000 acres, the airport opened its gates in May 2008 and has two terminals — T1 and T2. Starting September 12, the T2 terminal of the Bengaluru Airport will deal with international operations only.
“A destination like never before,” are the words that the official website of the airport uses for Terminal 2. Covering an area of 2,55,000 sqm, it began its operations on January 15, 2023. T2 is fenced with green walls spread over 10,000 sqm and artwork inspired by Karnataka’s rich culture and heritage. Built on 4 key pillars — terminal in a garden, sustainability, technology and arts & culture, makes the T2 terminal one-of-a-kind.
A must-experience offering is the 080 Dometic Lounge. Salon services, and mouth-watering food options — both buffet and a-la-carte curated by celebrity Chef Ranveer Brar will surely leave you in a dilemma as to what you should pick first while you wait for your flight in the lounge.
