What you’ll need
- 2 tablespoons of neem paste
- 3-4 pinches of turmeric
Method
Mix the two ingredients and apply it evenly on your face. In case of dry skin, you can add a tablespoon of whipped cream to the mixture. Wash the face pack off with cold water after 10 minutes, and dab on a light moisturiser.
Benefits
Neem and turmeric are known for their antibacterial and antifungal properties. Combined, they turn into a magic potion for your skin. Moreover, the nutrients present in whipped cream are great moisturising agents.
RADIANT SKIN
What you’ll need
- 2 teaspoons of neem powder
- 2 teaspoons of papaya pulp
Method
Take neem powder and papaya pulp in equal quantities; mix the ingredients to form a thick paste. Next, apply it on your face and let it dry completely. Wash it off with cold water, and pat dry.
Benefits
The vitamin A and papain enzymes present in the papaya help remove dead cells and flush out inactive proteins, making your skin look fresh. Moreover, the antioxidants present in neem leaves lower melanin production, resulting in an even-looking skin tone.
EXCESS OIL REMOVAL
What you’ll need
- 2 tablespoons of neem powder
- 2 teaspoons of rose water
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Method
Combine the three until a smooth paste is formed. Apply it on your face and rinse with cold water after 15 minutes. Pat dry.
Benefits
The high pH level of lemon decreases inflammation and oil secretion, while the antibacterial properties of neem curb acne breakouts. Rose water, on the other hand, not only hydrates the skin but also serves as a natural toner.
DEEP CLEANSE
What you’ll need
- 2 tablespoons of neem paste
- 2 teaspoons of yoghurt
Method
Using a spoon or a whisk, mix the ingredients thoroughly to form a paste. Massage it gently onto your face for five minutes, and let it rest for another 15 minutes. Wash with cold water to complete the cleansing ritual.
Benefits
The lactic acid and zinc present in yoghurt help in clearing blemishes, while the fatty acids increase skin elasticity. Paired with the antiseptic properties of neem, a glowing face is guaranteed.
DETOX
What you’ll need
- 2 tablespoons of neem powder
- 2 teaspoons of basil powder
- 1 tablespoon of fuller’s earth (multani mitti)
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Method
In a bowl, mix the dry ingredients, followed by honey, to form a paste. Apply it on your neck and face. After 15 minutes, massage in circular motions and cleanse the residue with cold water. Pat dry.
Benefits
While the natural oils in basil clear dark spots, fuller’s earth removes excess oil, and the antibacterial properties of neem help restore the skin’s natural pH. The honey acts as a moisturiser due to its ability to hold on to water.
