The holiday season is the time for new festive challenges to do the rounds, and the latest among these is the #MyElf Challenge. Started as a spinoff of the holiday tradition—Elf on the Shelf—this funny and witty challenge involves celebrities superimposing another celebrity onto their shoulders. The catch? It must rhyme with their own name.

Like most challenges, this one soon caught on. Since then, many A-listers have dished out rhymes. Think (Tom) Hanks on (Elizabeth) Banks; Oprah (Winfrey) on (Priyanka) Chopra; or (Micheal) Jordon on Gordon (Ramsay). However, some have smartly strayed away from the conventional rhymes. Take Grease on a Reese (Witherspoon), in reference to the iconic John Travolta movie. Our personal favourite? A river of puns by Drew Scott who posted a photo of himself with Drew Barrymore and Drew Carey drawing and writing the words ‘Drew’ on Scott’s face.
Taking a thread of inspiration from this trend, we’ve created some desi #MyElf versions for you, but with a tinge of travel!

We’re talking about oil-laden choley bhature; steamed, fried, or tandoori momos; spicy butter chicken; buttery stuffed parathas; and juicy kebabs and rolls. And this is just the beginning! Summers in Delhi are reserved for cool lemon bantas while winter celebrates kulhad chai with hot samosas.

Once a summer capital of British India, Shimla’s lure lays in its colonial past interlaced with Himachali traditions, most evident of which are in the countless rental villas. Each building here is inspired by Renaissance architecture fused with Neo-gothic styles, paired with steep-sloped roofs, pillared porches, and wooden staircases signature to the region. Plus, it makes for a great workation home too!
