Dhoni made another record here when he became the first-ever specialist India wicketkeeper to score a Test double century. Chennai has also been a favourite for the cricketer as he had many memorable moments here, whether it was for Indian Premier League of Team India or others. Dhoni’s test debut was made at this stadium, he has been the captain of IPL’s CSK team since its inception and the stadium is also where the star averages 100-plus in ODI’s.
While the stadium tour itself would be engaging enough, one can also pay a visit to the nearby beaches, gorge on delicious South Indian food or enjoy a scenic beach-side drive on the East Coast Road.

Dhoni was the only wicketkeeper to have inflicted 100 international stumpings in his career, and he achieved this feat during the fifth and final ODI against Sri Lanka in Colombo. The capital of Sri Lanka has so many cool things one can indulge in — from traversing through beautiful colonial buildings to taking tuk-tuk rides around the city and, of course, relishing some fresh seafood.
