If Manali is where you plan to spend your winter holidays and welcome the new year, let us tell you that it’s going to be legendary. The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Council (HPTDC) is all set to enthral tourists at the Manali Winter Carnival. By Karan Kaushik
This is what Manali has in store for you on Christmas and New Year
The Himachali hill station is gearing up to welcome tourists in the droves during the upcoming winter holidays. Tourism stakeholders in the city, including hoteliers and travel agency operators, are expecting a heavy footfall this year.
According to a report published in The Tribune, several exciting events will be held as part of the Manali Winter Carnival. While the Club House will host a grand function on December 31, several programmes are being planned around Mall Road. These will be held especially on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. This will ensure maximum participation by tourists as the Mall Road is the busiest part of the hill station.
A beauty pageant will also be hosted, where the winner will be crowned as the New Year Queen. Several other contests like Kullvi Nati will also be organised by the Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation with the support of the Manali Winter Carnival Committee.

If you wish to enjoy the best of Himachali folk music live, book a stay at the HPTDC-run Hotel Kunzum, where folk singer Neeru Chandni will entertain guests with live music from December 23 to 30.
The tourism department is looking forward to hosting tourists in the city after a challenging time. Last year, no special celebrations were held in the city because of the COVID-19-induced night curfew. Parties could only host 50 guests, and there was no event at the Club House either. This year will be much better as tourists will not be restricted from celebrating on the Mall Road after 10:00 pm.
