Thanks To India’s Travel Bubbles With US, France & Germany, You Can Now Travel To These Countries On Any Visa!

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has recently confirmed that under the individual air bubble established with the US, France as Germany, Indian nationals can now fly to these countries on any type of visa.

“In another huge step for Indian nationals wishing to travel abroad, they may travel to countries with which ‘air bubble’ arrangements have been finalised by MoCA on any type of visa,” the Ministry tweeted.

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had earlier confirmed that India has established an individual bilateral bubble with US and France, for which agreements have been signed with Air France and United Airlines. “Air France would be operating 28 flights between Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Paris from July 18 to August 1 while American carrier United Airlines would be flying 18 flights between India and the US from July 17 to July 31,” he had said in a press conference. 

“In an initiative to further expand our international civil aviation operations, air bubble arrangements with US, UAE, France and Germany are being put in place while similar arrangements are also being worked out with several other countries. Under these arrangement airlines from the concerned countries will be able to operate flights from and to India along with Indian carriers. I have no doubt that these will be beneficial for our citizens who are stressed and distressed abroad or those who want to fly out,” he had further tweeted.

The minister had also stated that till the time the international aviation doesn’t get its pre-COVID-19 numbers back on track, air bubbles are the only way to allow flights to operate on defined conditions and across select locations. 

Throwing light on India’s plans to establish a similar bubble with the UK as well, he had said that their request to few carriers to allow flights to India is already under process, and once they give the green signal, India will likely operate two flights every day between Delhi and London.   

Puri had even assured that by Diwali this year, India will likely be operating at least 50 to 60 per cent of the total domestic flights it used to operate before the COVID-19 outbreak.
