With the concern of increasing COVID cases in several countries, the state government of Karnataka has made 7-day home quarantine mandatory for passengers arriving from six countries namely – Singapore, China, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, and Hong Kong, at the Bengaluru airport. As per the new quarantine rules in Karnataka, RT-PCR tests have already been made compulsory for those arriving from these high-risk countries.
Karnataka: Passengers travelling from high-risk countries have to show a negative COVID report

Those who are travelling from these six countries will have to show a negative test result for COVID-19 and accordingly, they shall be allowed to leave the airport, according to the revised guidelines of Karnataka. If any of the travellers arriving from the same countries are detected with any kind of symptoms, they shall be asked to isolate themselves and will be further relocated to the assigned medical facility. Their samples will be submitted for RT-PCR testing and genome sequencing.
7-day home quarantine rule along with additional guidelines for asymptomatic passengers

According to the revised quarantine rules in Karnataka, asymptomatic passengers will be advised to self-monitor their physical wellness for COVID symptoms and follow COVID-appropriate behaviour such as maintaining social distancing, wearing face masks, abiding by the 7-day home quarantine rule, and practising hygiene.
Home quarantine & other COVID protocols are to be strictly followed if the test report shows any new sub-variant
International travellers who happen to show symptoms like diarrhoea, cough, difficulty in breathing, fever, loss of smell and taste, and body ache will require self-isolation and will also have to inform the local inspection team for testing. If the genome sequencing report happens to result in BF.7 after seven days or shows any additional sub-variant then another sample will be collected for the RT-PCR test. Thereon, the individual will have to strictly follow COVID-appropriate behaviour including home quarantine, as per the new quarantine rules in Karnataka.
