Holi is just around the corner and so are LIT Holi parties all across the town. All the fun, ‘moozik’, madness and colour lovers — you have to check out the Holi Moo! Festival for the most epic celebrations ever! By Kumar Shree
For a die-hard Holi fan, the core elements of a perfect Holi celebration are colours, music, madness, food, booze and a lot of madness. Well, that’s exactly what the Holi Moo! Festival offers. An experiential music festival focused on celebrating Holi, the Holi Moo! Festival is back with its 13th edition this year.
India’s most definitive multi-genre carnival, the Holi Moo! Festival has evolved to become one of the must-visit affairs during this time of the year. Since it’s modest first edition in 2006, when the festival used to be an informal jamming session at a farmhouse, it has today, metamorphosed to become a multi-genre, multi-stage music festival.
From being India’s multi-disciplinary desi festival, Holi Moo! also happens to be a discovery platform for new talents, cross-disciplinary and international collaborations and building a culturally-aware tribe.
Given that some of the most sought-after artists, games and specially-crafted cocktails come together at this festival, these evenings are awaited year-round by the city’s party tribe.
Since its inception in 2006, the past 12 editions have hosted over 600 artists performing for over 70,000 people from over 100 countries, cumulatively. The past few editions have seen the festival grow from a single-day event to a 30-day celebration of music, art, fashion, film, photography, theatre and counter culture across venues in Delhi. The festival makes sure to use only organic colours and helps promote street-food culture. For more details and tickets, you can head over to the website of Holi Moo! Festival.
