After a successful run in September last year, THE OZEN COLLECTION will return for its iconic Guy Charbaut Champagne Masterclass & Gastronomy on October 24 this year. The seven-day extravaganza will see OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI and OZEN LIFE MAADHOO come to life with a sparkling soirée and an exclusive dinner showcasing Guy Charbaut House Champagne. The following month, from November 21 to 27, the two luxury spaces will continue the celebration of vino with an exclusive masterclass-and-gastronomy combination.
All Things Wine With THE OZEN COLLECTION
The First Soiree
This October, Xavier and Nathalie Charbaut, the multi-generational artisanal wine growers and owners of Guy Charbaut Champagne House, will be presenting an enriching soiree and an exclusive dinner to familiarise guests with Guy Charbaut Champagne at OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI and OZEN LIFE MAADHOO. Synonymous with celebration, these flutes will bring the elegant drink to the balmy Maldivian shores straight from the French landscapes. With just one sip, guests will find themselves transported to a Guy Charbaut vineyard in the heart of Mareuil-sur-Ay, one of France’s finest wine growing regions.
Guy Charbaut is renowned for its varietal champagne produced using traditional methods for a true expression of the environment and natural conditions of the vineyard. In the October edition of the masterclass, visitors will experience tastings and food pairings to learn more about the subtleties of each bottle of vino. The gala will also see engaging dialogues and unique insider knowledge, with five of Guy Charbaut’s finest champagnes to accompany. A special degustation meal will be held after each enjoyable soiree.
At OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI, the masterclass will be held at Cuvee as a part of the RESERVE™ Plan. The champagne tastings will be followed by a widespread dinner at the overwater speciality restaurant, ORIGINƎ to blend with the taste of Guy Charbaut champagnes.
OZEN LIFE MAADHOO, on the other hand, will organise the masterclass at the speciality bar, GIN IS IN, as part of the INDULGENCE™ Plan. Guests can enjoy an engaging dinner with Mediterranean-style cuisine served under the sky at the soon-to-open Joie de Vivre Beach Club. Guy Charbaut Champagnes will also available at the resorts’ bars and restaurants to be savoured all-year round.
But that’s not all! The vino celebrations will continue next month, too. Apart from the champagne tasting event, November will see an island-hopping adventure with Bodegas Vinatigo Winery and THE OZEN COLLECTION.
From November 21 to 27, guests will have the opportunity to experience the enchanting wine tradition of the Canary Islands over a classy three-night masterclass conducted by Juan Jesus Mendez and his son, Jorge, of Bodegas Viñátigo Winery— one of the most revered wineries from this Spanish region. This will be followed by a restaurant take-over at OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI and OZEN LIFE MAADHOO.
While the wines will unfold over a private affair at the former property; the latter will witness island lifestyle come to life at GIN IS IN, followed by a wine-and-food pairing experience at the newly-opened Hudhu Bay. Here, guests will be able to sample prestigious bottles of Marmajuelo, Vijariego Negro, and Tintill, to name a few. Plus, there will be bespoke giveaway for each guest, too!
At OZEN RESERVE BOLIFUSHI, the father-son duo will take guests through the notes and nuances of the niche parcel wines at the Tasting Lounge. Next, a food and wine pairings await at ORIGINƎ. Before bidding adieu, don’t miss out on the thoughtful gift!
