Good news for aspiring photographers, as now you can take over a thousand online photography courses by renowned American photographers for free. The Professional Photographers of America (ppa.com) association, has unlocked more than 1,100 paid online photography courses, all free of cost for you to utilise your self-quarantine time to learn the art of photography from some of the greatest photographers.
There are all kinds of courses for beginners, to advanced photographers, from Lightroom tutorials, to how to use a flash, open to both individuals as well as small businesses. All you need to do is set up a small account on ppa.com, and choose from the list of courses available on the portal.

Self-quarantine, amid complete lockdown, in light of pandemic coronavirus, has left many Ivy League universities, with no other option, but to hold exams and classes online. Oxford and Cambridge universities recently announced their plans to replace summer exams with online assessments, followed by Edinburgh and University College London (UCL). They have even allowed students suffering from illness, to appear for assessments later when the universities are fully operational.

The announcements came in response to open letters by over 1,000 students from Oxford and Edinburgh each, calling for universities to allow those who are to graduate to restart final year in September and make exams for finalists optional, giving them degree based on previous grades.
Other universities like The London School of Economics, King’s College London, the University of Durham and Manchester Metropolitan University have also declared to soon replace face-to-face teaching with video and online seminars.

Furthermore, renowned digital library of academic journals, books and primary sources, JSTOR, also confirmed about giving online access to its eBooks and journals. It tweeted saying, “You can search all open access content on JSTOR without a login – there’s more than 6,000 ebooks and over 150 journals: https://jstor.org/open/.”
Broadway shows, theatres, music festivals, educational and other co-curricular courses, even the Ivy League courses, fitness training, sports leagues, which were once paid services, can now be accessed free of cost from anywhere in the world.
