Here’s everything we know about Fiji dropping COVID-19 test requirements

Moreover, the portal – ‘Entry Test Fiji’ which was previously used to pre-book test slots on arrival will also be discontinued. In addition, travellers coming to the country of beautiful beaches and sunsets don’t have to show COVID-19 test results before boarding the flight anymore.

Things to keep in mind

Although the COVID-19 regulations for international travellers have been eased, there are still some things that a responsible tourist should keep in mind. If a passenger suffers from any COVID-like symptoms, they will have to undergo a test at the airport and will also have to report the same on the immigration arrival card.

Submitting proof that the passenger is fully vaccinated and buying travel insurance before entering Fiji are still some of the things that are mandated according to the new regulations.

Brent Hill, CEO of Tourism Fiji, confirmed the news on Twitter. He took to the micro-blogging website and wrote, “Fantastic news as no tests are required to travel to or from #Fiji, effective 5 September. The only requirement is to be vaccinated and have travel insurance. Refunds are available for tests booked post 5 Sept. Great news – travelling to #Fiji is stress and admin free! (sic).”
