The New Year calls for a new monthly travel calendar and we are here to help you with that. Check out our list of international travel destinations that you can explore, one place at a time. By Kumar Shree

Begin the first month of the year by visiting destinations that are a break from the chilling winters. Some of these places are not only pleasantly warm, but are also heavy on travel deals. Be it Rajasthan in India or Thailand, China and Burma in Asia — the world is your oyster. Choose any direction or destination you want. Mexico, South Africa and destinations in South America and Central America are also some ‘cool’ January destinations.
2. February

The month of love has to be about romantic destinations, and that’s exactly our agenda for February. While Paris, Copenhagen, Argentina, and Malaysia lure travellers and lovers from around the globe, other destinations are not far behind. For those looking forward to exploring something in India, we recommend Kerala. For others, St. Petersburg in Russia and Ibiza in Spain are something we would recommend too.
3. March

Come March and the stark opposites of the world call you at once. On one hand is the Himalayan charm of Nepal and on other is the hedonist capital of the world–Las Vegas. Apart from the two, while Delhi in India makes for a worthy March destination, the cultural charm of Oman and Morocco are also something worth exploring in March. Vietnam, Ireland and Bermuda are also fit for March travels.
4. April

Our top pick has to be Tokyo in Japan. April is the time for one of the most popular natural events of the year–cherry blossom. That set aside, we pick Bolivia, Bali, Cuba, Lisbon, and Zambia as our other April destinations. There’s one more destination, on our April list and that is Coachella, one of the most famed music-event destination.
5. May

If there’s one destination that takes the cake for being our favourite May destination, it is none other than the charming Norwegian Fjords. Next on our May list is the Scottish highlands. The destination is known for producing some of the best whiskeys! Our other reccos include Greece, Israel, Malta, Turkey, and Bahamas.
6. June

There are so many happening destinations on our June list. Talking about beaches, Andaman Islands in India tops the list. Cappadocia, Rwanda, Corsica, and Peru, especially the Machu Pichu region of it are other destinations we would love to explore in June.
7. July

Ever heard of the Benicassim music festival? Well, now you have! Benicassim in Spain has everything a tourist may ask for, and it has the unmatched music festival, earning it a spot on our list. Otherwise, our July calendar is quite packed with destinations that will charm you into travelling to its grounds. Don’t tell us you would not want to witness Kenya, Fiji, Wales, Iceland, Berlin, Seychelles, and Mozambique.
8. August

Now that summer is almost gone, in August, we would focus on exploring destinations that still has some of that sultry sun shining on it. The beautiful city of Edinburgh in Scotland tops our list and Tanzania, Portland, Ecuador, Papua New Guinea, Florence, and Transylvania follow suit. Singapore also presents itself as a charming destination to be explored in August.
9. September

Our top pick for September would be Barcelona. The week-long festival Fiestas de la Mercè here is not to be missed. For other destinations, we would pick The Cotswolds near London, fashion capital Milan, Galway for its World Oyster Opening Championships, Zanzibar, Utah, and Istanbul.
10. October

Let’s block October to explore Asia and Middle East. Post navigating through the charismatic valleys of Darjeeling in India, Dubai in Middle East and Bhutan in South Asia, should make it to your itinerary. We would definitely like to explore The Galapagos Island for its abundant wildlife and phenomenal marine richness. Hawaii, Botswana, Vienna, and Atacama Desert also make the cut.
11. November

If there’s one month for die-hard adventure junkies, it is none other than November, because this is when we decide to land up in New Zealand. Myanmar, Seoul and Hong Kong in Asia also carve a niche in our list of November destinations. We would like to live through some temperature extremities in Antarctica, Iceland, and Ethiopia, too. Other destinations on our list would be Athens, Egypt, and Verbier in Switzerland.
12. December

For the last month of the year, our year-end destination without a doubt has to be New York City. Next would be Zermatt in the Swiss Alps. For those who wish to welcome their new year in India, we cannot think of a better destination for you than the party-capital Goa. Other destinations on our radar for December are: Prague, Tasmania, Venice, Moscow, and Stragbourg.
