The government of the Czech Republic is looking to classify different countries on the basis of their COVID-19 case count, health, and travel policies. It will categorise countries in three tiers from the lowest to highest risk as green, orange, and red. The system is also applicable for Czech citizens looking to travel internationally from the country for both business and pleasure.
Nineteen European countries located in the central, eastern, and southeast region will be designated as green zones, allowing them to travel freely. Citizens of the countries in the green zone, like Germany, Austria, Poland, and Greece among others will not be required to present a COVID-19 negative certificate.
Citizens arriving from orange zones like France, Portugal, and Italy will need to present recent test results confirming that they don’t have the virus. It has put Britain and Sweden in the high-risk red zone, effectively closing its borders for tourists from there.
