In addition to checking all the travel restrictions of a destination that travellers have zeroed down upon, they are also tasked with checking about multiple other factors including quarantine rules, COVID-19 negative certificates, availability of flights and accommodations, and whether establishments are even open where they are heading to. It’s safe to say that travellers are plagued with a thousand questions with mostly vague answers.
To put travellers out of their planning misery, a new website called ‘COVID Controls’ was launched in May, and this website gives you all the information you need about a particular place — all under one roof. “We created it because we saw there was no comprehensive COVID-19 dashboard specifically geared towards travellers,” said one of the four brains behind the ingenious website, Mohit Shah (as reported on CNBC.com).
At a time when case numbers are rapidly fluctuating and nobody has a definite answer, that is until a vaccine is found, planning a trip can be hugely stressful. Thanks to COVID Controls, travellers can get all kinds of information including travel restrictions and other important COVID-19 data that a person would need to know before travelling overseas.
Plain and simple to use, this website is easy to navigate through and one can easily find any information they are looking for by clicking on a country on the colour-coded map and search for information on whether the place is allowing tourists, if airports are open and what kinds of documentation is required for one to enter. It is particularly helpful in understanding the county’s current outbreak status.
Thanks to COVID Controls, we can retain some type of normalcy and enjoy planning our rebound travels post the pandemic. And the best part is that the website is free for all.
