The Red Fort Festival, which is called Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, is set to be one of the world’s largest cultural extravaganzas that celebrate India. The festival, which is beginning on March 25 at Delhi’s Red Fort, is part of a joint collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, to celebrate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, reports Pioneer.

The 10-day event will end on April 3 and will feature a host of thematic cultural fusion performances, that showcase India’s rich history, and its diversity in art, culture, music, cuisine and more. Talking about the same, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav means elixir of energy of independence. It means elixir of inspirations of the warriors of the freedom struggle; elixir of new ideas and pledges and nectar of Aatmnirbharta,” reports Business Standard. The event has been conceptualised by the Union Culture Ministry, along with Red Fort’s Monument Mitra, Dalmia Bharat Limited, the news report adds.
The Red Fort Festival – Bharat Bhagya Vidhata – is part of the government’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, celebrating 75 years of India’s independence. The event will include a projection mapping show on India’s history on the exterior walls of the monument, an exhibition of India’s achievements throughout the years, several cultural performances including those by artists such as Shaan, Papon, Nizami Brothers, Raghu Dixit, Maitriyee Pahari, Yuvraj Hans, Prince Dance Group, and more, a showcase and celebration of the country’s vibrant arts and craftsmanship, a gastronomic journey through India’s regional cuisines and more.
The report in Business Standard adds that the Red Fort Festival is being planned as an annual event, underlining themes such as the freedom struggle, ideas, resolve and achievements at 75 and beyond.
