India has entered an air bubble agreement with Switzerland after a long wait. Direct flights between the two nations had been suspended in March 2020, in the wake of the pandemic. Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is preparing to welcome passengers from India, beginning from January 10, 2022. According to the air bubble agreement, the national carriers of India and Switzerland will be allowed to operate direct flights between the two nations.

SWISS will begin its direct flight service to and fro from Mumbai twice a week. The flights will connect Mumbai and Zurich. According to the schedule, flights from Mumbai to Zurich will depart on Wednesdays and Fridays. Similarly, flights from Zurich to Mumbai will depart on Mondays and Wednesdays. The national carrier of Switzerland also plans to roll out more flights in the coming months. Flights to Switzerland will also be available from Delhi.
Fliers are expected to strictly adhere to the passenger eligibility criteria mentioned at the time of booking. They are advised to check all applicable transit regulations for Switzerland.
Switzerland continues to be a leading destination on the global tourism map and has always lured Indians, thanks to its gorgeous depiction in Indian cinema. All you need to make sure before booking your flight is that you are fully vaccinated with either Covishield or Covaxin doses. You will also have to fill out an entry form and present your COVID certificate along with a negative RT-PCR test report upon arrival in Switzerland.

The Swiss authorities have also decided to waive off the requirement for a second RT-PCR test within 4 to 7 days if you are fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID in the last 6 months.
