Shedding layers of her former business development self, Chef Karishma Sakhrani dove straight into the world of flavours by participating in MasterChef India Season 4. A finalist on the show, this Mumbai-born chef has carved a niche for herself as the champion of healthy eating – owing to her many global travels. Influenced by flavours from around the world, her dishes come equipped with a three-pronged parameter: taste, style, and health. To her, life is all about seeking the right balance – a thought process that radiates in her food effortlessly!
For this episode of #TnlTasteOfTheWorld, Chef Sakhrani brings her signature nutrition-loving side to the foreground with a Japanese Matcha smoothie – an ideal detox drink packed with flavour.
- 2 teaspoons activated charcoal matcha
- 2 tablespoons warm water
- 2 frozen bananas
- 2 handfuls baby spinach
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- In a bowl, whisk the activated charcoal matcha with warm water until it turns frothy.
- Using a mixer-blender, blend all the remaining ingredients along with the matcha froth.
