Ready to serve a French-Asian menu, Michelin-starred chef Olivier Jean from The Woodward, Geneva in Switzerland is making his way to Vetro, an award-winning restaurant at The Oberoi, Mumbai. This specially-curated menu will be available for lunch and dinner from March 16 to March 18. Through this, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, along with Chef Jean, promise to bring forth an unforgettable dining experience.

Bringing a French-Asian fusion concept to the table, the exclusive menu at The Oberoi, Mumbai will wow guests with unusual flavour combinations that are sure to satisfy the senses through remarkable dishes and pioneering techniques. Think signature dishes like Imperial caviar, served with crab and a refreshing blue lobster jelly; Turbot, a loumi lemon, java pepper condiment and chicory with Japanese pearl; and black truffle shaved on steamed Swiss alpine Gruyere soufflé and black truffle coulis, to name a few. For desserts, leave space for a mushroom-inspired The Black Forest, which comes with cherries, dark chocolate crémeux, and a light mousse-flavoured with kirsch.
Meet The Chef
Having trained with the iconic chef Joël Robuchon in Paris and Monaco, Chef Jean has spent six years at the head of Joël Robuchon’s Atelier in Taipei. He has also led the openings in Miami, New York, and Montreal. Following this, he went onto make a mark in the kitchens of The Woodward in Geneva. For the Indian chapter at The Oberoi, Mumbai, he will be bringing Robuchon’s French-Asian fusion concept from L’Atelier Robuchon’s to life.
Notably, Switzerland’s L’Atelier Robuchon showcases the restaurant’s legendary open kitchen concept, creating a theatrical dining experience in a dimly-lit, intimate atmosphere for just 36 guests seated around the counter. Additional high tables and two private dining rooms can accommodate another 34 guests. Since its opening, the restaurant has cemented its position as an elegant space in Geneva, unravelling an innovative culinary selection of Robuchon’s signature dishes alongside innovative interpretations from Chef Jean.
