This iconic restaurant really warms your heart with its racecourse views, horses and the vast green lawns. The interiors are elegant and old-world, but the alfresco is where you should be headed to for dinner and drinks under the canopy of trees, fairy lights and chandeliers. Chef Yajush Malik makes a stellar wild mushroom and truffle soup. The bacon-wrapped prawns and roast chicken are not to be missed either.

2. Olive Bar & Kitchen

This all-day Mediterranean restaurant with its rustic charm is the perfect balm for the frazzled urbanite. Go for the sinfully delicious truffle mushroom and goat cheese pizza or the insanely delightful Karaage fried chicken. Chef Chirag Makwana also makes a mean Korean fried cauliflower. Our tip? Don’t skip the Panna Cotta!

Don’t just go for the lavish Indian thalis, seasonal Italian delights and delicious poke bowls. Also visit for the precision-drilled staff, wholly focused on ensuring that your time at the café feels worth any wait. The class-A wine list here makes mixing and matching by the glass a no-brainer. Add to it the magnificent views of Powai lake framed by the twinkling Mumbai skyline.

4. Cecconi’s Mumbai

Every table at this Italian restaurant comes with glorious views of the Arabian sea. Rattan chairs, loads of greens, glass chandeliers and warm timber lend this laid-back restaurant an elegant Venetian feel. Once you are done admiring the view, order a Martini Piccolo paired with wood-fired pizzas. The spaghetti lobster and buffalo mozzarella with tomato and basil are too good to be missed. Reserve the profiteroles served with pistachio ice cream to watch the sun go down.

If you’re looking for a meal with wow factor, this woody bar and restaurant delivers in a big way. Perched dramatically on the beach overlooking the sea, ESTELLA is where you can savour modern Australian cuisine with the sound of the waves for company. Check out Chef Rohan D’Souza’s tacos, flatbreads and exquisitely fresh mussels steamed in wine.

7. Qualia

The curb-side dining at Qualia offers a magical, romantic experience. Rahul Akerkar’s perfectly balanced sweet and sour menu, however, is the star here. The famous buff burger; pillowy goat cheese gnocchi; simple, yet flawless pizza; and the incredibly tender lemon barbecue half chicken are faultless, both, in flavour and presentation.
