If you love trekking, you must visit Kotebetta. The trek starts from Hattihole and takes you towards the peak via a hanging bridge. Enroute the peak you can also take a dip in the river Hatti. Here, you get a chance to trek through coffee estates and forested mountains. The place also has many stone houses dating to the era of the Pandavas. Followers of Lord Shiva can check out the ancient temple on top of the peak, visited by many priests every day. Apart from this, the peak also offers a panoramic view of the nearby places.

The place is also home to Coorg’s biggest lake — Honnamana Kere — surrounded by man-made caves and a famous temple dedicated to Goddess Honnamana.
