Kolli Hills Road

The road that connects Namakkal to Kolli Hills has breathtakingly beautiful views and makes for stunning drone captures, one of which was also shared by Anand Mahindra on Twitter recently. However, what makes this road deserve a spot on this list is the fact that it has 70 hairpin bends. And the loopy nature of the road is what makes for majestic captures. This is one drive that’s definitely not for the faint-hearted!
Zuluk Zigzag Road

This road in Sikkim has about 100 hairpin bends in 30 kilometres, making it among the most adventurous ones in India. The hairpin roads offer some of the best mountain views in India, and the biting cold winds are an experience to remember. The spiral road is located near Zuluk, a village on the Old Silk Route from Tibet to India, making it all the more important historically.
The Zuluk Zungzag road is also called the three-level zigzag road because of the sheer drops that come along the road. This road leads to the Thambi viewpoint, at the height of 11,200 feet above sea level, from where you can soak in the scenery and the three-levelled drop of the road you just drove on!
Agumbe Ghats

One of the finest spots in the Western Ghats to explore the flora and fauna, this hairpin road features some extremely sharp curves and bends. It is also a trekker’s paradise due to the beautiful views one can soak in here and is known for its beautiful sunsets. The ghat road is about 11 kilometres long with 16 horseshoe bends.

The road that leads from Pollachi to Valparai is full of beauty and adventure. One of the many hairpin roads in India, this loopy track features 40 hairpin bends along its route. The drive offers scenic views of the Aliyar dam below, and the region is known for its tea estates. It receives heavy rains and is known to be a natural habitat for elephants, leopards and more, all adding to the adventure that you embark on when you decide to drive up this terrain!
Gata Loops

One of the most famous hairpin roads not only in India but across the globe, Gata Loops in Ladakh make for a dangerous but adventurous drive up the Himalayas. The road, with 21 loops, leads to one of the highest motorable passes in Ladakh, Nakee La.
Apart from the adventure, the road is also known for its creepy, spooky stories surrounding ghosts – it is said that a ghost haunts the route, and passengers must pay their respects to it. Would you be willing to take this adventure trip now?

The breathtaking hill station is located close to Kerala‘s capital city, Thiruvananthapuram. The hill station, located at the southern end of the Western Ghats, can be reached via road from Kallar, which features 22 hairpin bends!

Lachung

The road leading to LAchung has about 52 hairpin bends, which make for a great adventure, along with a scenic waterfall and green views for tourists to savour on the way.
