If you’ve watched Black Panther, you know that to become the next king of Wakanda, you’ll have to defeat the current king in ritual combat at the Warrior Falls. But did you know that in real life, the wide and establishing shots of the falls were actually shot at Iguazu Falls, which are located on the border of Argentine and Brazil?

The University of Toronto served as one of the shooting locations for the Marvel film The Incredible Hulk. It stood in as the exteriors of Culver University, where Bruce Banner (Edward Norton) works as a nuclear physicist and biochemist. However, the quadrangle shown as part of the university was not from the actual Toronto varsity but was shot at Morningside Park in Scarborough, Ontario.

Titanic Hotel, Liverpool, England – Pier 13 in Captain America, The First Avenger

Yes, you can visit the location where Steve Rogers is chasing a HYDRA infiltrator down Pier 13. The exterior of the Titanic Hotel at Stanley Dock, Liverpool, was used for the shooting and makes for a beautiful location to visit (and an equally stunning property to stay at).

Tower City Center, Cleveland, Ohio – Loki’s platform, The Avengers

According to Mental Floss, one of the shooting locations featured in The Avengers is Tower City Center at Cleveland, Ohio’s Public Square. The place stood as Loki’s Platform in Germany, where he delivers a speech about humanity, to have people bow down to him. It’s a beautiful place to visit in real life, complete with the Terminal Tower that was visible in the film, too!

This Marvel movie takes place largely in space and uses cosmic locations. However, some real-life shooting locations were used for some of the scenes in the film, such as the stunning Liége-Guillemins Railway Station. This was featured as the centrepiece of the Xandar Plaza, where the group of alien misfits gets arrested.

Dania Beach Bar & Grill, Dania Beach, Florida – Neptune’s Net in Iron Man 3

In Iron Man 3, there’s a scene when Tony gets a panic attack while signing autographs for fans. The place, shown to be Neptune’s Net, is actually shot at Dania Beach Bar & Grill in Florida, the USA, and is one of the Marvel shooting locations you can visit (and grab a bite at)!

Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, London – Thor: The Dark World

The cinematic battle between Thor and the Dark Elf Malekith in Thor: The Dark World happens at the Old Royal Naval College, in London. The scenic spot hosts tours that you can opt for, which are even available in British Sign Language.

Fort Bard (or Forte di Bard) in Bard, Italy, served as the exteriors of this research base, and the place currently houses the Museum of the Alps, which you can visit on your next Italy trip and get a feel of being at one of the Marvel shooting locations.

Yes, we know that most airport runways end up looking the same, but you can be a part of the MCU history the next time you land at the Leipzig/Halle Airport, which was the place where the showdown between Team Team Iron Man and Team Captain America takes place.

Exeter College, Oxford, England – Doctor Strange

The chapel inside Exeter College in England’s Oxford is where the villain Kaecilius conjures a dark and mysterious spell from the Book of Cagliostro and contacts Dormammu of the Dark Dimension to seek revenge on the Ancient One. The chapel serves as the perfect backdrop for the scene, and you can visit this shooting location, too, on your next trip to England.
