With the pandemic creating havoc for travellers, and countries shutting down their borders, travelling has become a questionable affair. As the pandemic continues to fluctuate, here are the destinations that have opened their borders for unvaccinated Indians.
Madeira, Portugal

This Portuguese Golden Island makes for a perfect waterside destination for travellers. Requiring a two-week mandatory quarantine, a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival, and a traveller questionnaire, Madeira will allow you to vacation in the happening lands of Portugal.
Croatia

This Latin gem is welcoming unvaccinated Indians provided they have a negative COVID-19 antigen test, issued within 48 hours of arrival; a negative PCR test, issued within 72 hours of arrival; or a doctor’s certificate of recovery following a positive test result between 11 and 180 days prior.
Greece

This historical destination is set to welcome unvaccinated travellers possessing a negative PCR test issued within 72 hours of arrival; proof of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test from an authorised laboratory, undertaken within 48 hours before your arrival; or proof of recovery from COVID-19. A document showing a positive COVID-19 PCR test result taken 30 to 180 days prior to the travel dates will also be accepted by the Greek authorities (to indicate recovery from COVID-19).

The island of love is one of your best bets to travel if you are not vaccinated. Proof of a negative PCR test taken three days prior to travel and another one upon arrival at Larnaca or Paphos airports, along with regulated isolation until the test results come, is needed for those planning a vacation in Cyprus.
If you’re staying longer than a week, you’ll be required to take additional PCR or rapid antigen tests every seven days following arrival, unless you’re able to provide proof of having contracted COVID-19 in the last six months. Children under 12 are not required to take the tests.
Slovenia

The country of castles needs unvaccinated Indians and other unvaccinated travellers to provide a Digital Passenger Locator Form as a mandate and proof of either a PCR test not older than 72 hours or a rapid antigen test taken within 48 hours of travelling to Slovenia. Alternatively, a positive PCR test result showing that the tourist contracted COVID-19 between 10 days and six months of travel can be shown, to assure authorities that there are no new COVID-19 symptoms since the test.
Mexico

To enter Mexico, all you need to show is a mandatory health declaration form and ensure adherence to safety protocols such as wearing masks and sanitisation. Mexico currently has no restrictions such as showing documents like a negative PCR test or quarantine on arrival.
Russia

A mandatory negative RT-PCR test report on arrival, which has been taken within 72 hours prior, is a mandate for those planning on visiting Russia. Travellers also need to show an invitation from a Russian government-authorised travel agency. Further, a mandatory spot test will be conducted on arriving travellers, and passengers with symptoms are required to go to a COVID-19 testing facility.

The Maldives requires unvaccinated Indians to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test report. Serbia requires a negative COVID-19 report on arrival that is not older than 48 hours before the time of departure.
Egypt

For non-vaccinated travellers, a negative PCR test result is mandatory to enter Egypt. Regardless of the status of inoculation, taking a 15-minute DNA test called ID NOW is compulsory before you enter the country, reports News18. If tested positive, the passenger will be sent to a medical facility for further tests.
