What if there was a way to enjoy wine tasting while flying?! Your wine dreams have just come true! Experience wine tasting on another level with the world’s first winery airlines.
When the word winery comes to our mind, we can’t help but think of vast and green vineyards along rustic barrels filled with wine. Therefore, a winery airline is bound to pique the interest of travellers across the globe. Starting in 2023, Invivo Air is launching a special flight that will allow passengers to have a viticulture vacation. The all-inclusive flight will include wine tasting at 18,000 feet.
You can find this ‘wine-cation’ in New Zealand, with flights from Auckland to Queenstown. The itinerary includes a tour of stunning vineyards across New Zealand along with tasting Sauvignon Blanc, Rose and Pinot Noir, a lavish dinner, an overnight stay at Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa and the winery in the sky experience. The flight will have a guided eight-step wine tasting hosted by Invivo Co-Founders Time Lightbourne and Rob Cameron. Flyers will enjoy a selection of local Kiwi snacks paired with the finest wines and a range of no-alcohol options.
How much will the wine-tasting flight cost?
The winery airlines will start running from January 31, 2023, from 12 pm onwards. The all-inclusive ticket costs are around INR 60,000 per person. At the moment, the tickets for the first flight are sold out. This is set to be the first airline that is offering wine-tasting mid-air.
Invivo is a wine company based in New Zealand that is famous for partnering with celebrity icons like Sarah Jessica Parker and Graham Norton to bring in the choicest collection of wines. These wines will be a part of the wine tasting that will happen on the flight. Wine lovers should definitely enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience, that is taking the love of wine to the very next level!
