Hundreds of Indonesian islands to get names

The Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara is planning to name 719 uninhabited islands. State news agency, Antara reported that just 472 of the province’s total 1,192 islands currently have names, and the East Nusa Tenggara government is now calling of Indonesia’s National Land Agency (BPN) to help to identify the islands and update records of them. East Nusa Tenggara is located close to East Timor, which gained independence from Indonesia in 2002.
