Finals checks for Shanghai-Beijing bullet train

China’s high-speed train manufacturers have conducted the final test run of the Beijing-to-Shanghai line. The train carrying Railway Ministry officials managers of the companies that built the line and hundreds of reporters left Beijing on Monday morning for a five-hour, 300kph trip to China’s fi nancial hub. The line is due to open to the public on 29 June, with local media reporting that all tickets for the inaugural service have already sold out.
