Ash cloud clears following Germany disruption

The ash cloud from the Icelandic volcano is beginning to clear, with the skies above the UK and Germany reopening yesterday. The BBC reported air traffic management body, Eurocontrol, as saying that flights to airports in Hamburg, Bremen and Berlin have resumed, following the cancellation of approximately 700 services on Wednesday. Volcanic activity at Iceland’s Grimsvotn volcano appears to be easing, although meteorologists haven’t ruled out that the ash cloud could return over the weekend.
