Thai-Cambodia border crossings reopen

Two border crossings connecting Thailand and Cambodia have reopened. The crossings, in Thailand’s Surin and Sisaket provinces, had been closed for almost two weeks due to the border clashes in the area which have killed at least 18 people. The two countries have now entered further talks aimed at maintaining the uneasy ceasefire. Meanwhile officials at Poipet, the main border crossing between Thailand and Cambodia, said there was a 17% drop in people crossing the border in April, compared to the previous month.
