Toilet museum opens in Germany

Published on Apr 11, 2011

Fancy a change from the normal tourist attractions? Well a new museum has opened in Germany dedicated to the toilet. The superbly-named ‘Toilet Museum of Modern Arse’ in Wiesbaden was the idea of Michael Berger, who has spent his life amassing a personal collection of rare and unusual toilets and other bathroom paraphernalia, including a urinal with Adolf Hitler’s face on it. “I am mad, but I love loos,” Berger was reported saying, adding, somewhat bizarrely, that the museum was a “present to  humanity”. I think humility probably would’ve been okay without it.
