Bullet train museum opens in Nagoya

A Japanese rail company has opened a new museum and theme park in Nagoya off ering guests the chance ‘drive’ one of the country’s famed bullet trains. The SCMaglev & Railway Park opened its doors on Monday, featuring a simulator allowing guests to take the controls of the train, with a large video screen offering a driver’s-eye view as the train speeds through the Japanese countryside. The park will also include 39 pieces of rolling stock from steam engines to the latest maglev high speed trains, as well as a museum, theatre, learning room, and a huge model railway.
