AirAsia X landed at Paris Orly International airport yesterday, marking the low-cost long-haul carrier’s debut in France. The new service will now be operated four times a week to and from Kuala Lumpur, using an Airbus A340 aircraft with a capacity of 327 passengers including 18 Premium seats.
On touching down at Orly yesterday, AirAsia Group CEO, Dr Tony Fernandes, said; “I am proud that we are finally here. With this global platform, we are making the world much smaller and cheaper for everyone to connect to each other. This is a revolutionary moment for the aviation industry and a great day for our guests… Our sales have proved that this business model not only works but is flourishing.”
The French capital becomes AirAsia X’s second destination in Europe, following London Stansted.
