W Hotels officially opens in Taipei

W Hotels Worldwide yesterday opened the doors of its 39th hotel - W Taipei. Located in the central business district of Xinyi, the 405-room hotel rises 31 storeys offering views of the 101 Tower. The opening of W Taipei coincided with the opening of W London Leicester Square, which will become the W brand’s 40th global hotel. 

“W Taipei marks an important step in the global expansion of the W brand, in particular in Mainland China and Taiwan region,” said Eva Ziegler, Global Brand Leader, W Hotels Worldwide & Le Méridien. “W Taipei is sure to redefine the meaning of hotel in Taipei and is well equipped to electrify the city.” 

F&B offerings at the W Taipei include the multi-cuisine Kitchen Table, the al fresco WET pool sky deck, and the signature Cantonese restaurant, Yen, while the hotel also features a fitness centre, swimming pool and AWAY Spa. Meeting facilities include more than 2,833m² of event space, including Taipei’s largest pillarless ballroom, the1,039m² Mega Room.
