JAL to boost domestic routes

JAL Group (JAL) has announced a significant boost to its domestic network in summer 2011. From 27 March the airline’s regional subsidiary, Japan Air Commuter (JAC) will launch flights from Fukuoka to two southern islands of Amami-oshima and Yakushima, while JAL itself will increase the number of daily flights from Tokyo’s Haneda airport to six domestic destinations – Hiroshima, Yamaguchiube, Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Okinawa. The airline will also boost four routes out of Sapporo, three from Osaka (two from Kansai one from Itami), two from Fukuoka, and other domestic services from Nagoya and Kagoshima. On the international front, JAL will add a fourth weekly service between Tokyo Narita and Moscow.
