Macau opens Panda Pavilion
Published on Jan 19, 2011
Macau opened its new MOP90 million (US$11 million) Panda Pavilion on Tuesday, displaying its two cuddly residents - Kai Kai and Xin Xin – to the public for the first time. Xinhua reported that the new 3,000m² attraction is located in a hillside area of Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane Island. The two pandas, which arrived late last year from China’s panda breeding centre in Sichuan province, will have access to two 330m² indoor activity quarters and a 600m² outdoor yard. Tickets to the pavilion will cost just MOP10.
