Malaysia and Singapore are confident they can reach a rail agreement by 31 December, Channel NewsAsia has reported. During meeting earlier this year, Malaysian PM Najib Razak and his Singapore counterpart, Lee Hsien Loong, agreed to the implementation of rapid transit system connectivity between Johor Bahru and Singapore, the co-location of immigration facilities to Singapore’s Woodlands station, and the formation of a JV company to develop railway land. Senior officials from both countries will meet again next week in Singapore to finalise the agreement, the report stated.
