
Angkor temple restoration starts

Restoration work on the Ta Keo temple in Cambodia’s Angkor Archaeological Park began on Saturday. Xinhua reported that the CNY40
million (US$6 million) project, which is being funded by the Chinese government, will take approximately eight years to complete. The Ta Keo Hindu temple, located in the centre of the Angkor complex, was built in the late 10th Century and early 11th Century and comprises fi ve rectangular
terraces and five upper towers, rising to 55-metres.
