Thailand flooding kills 94

The floods which have devastated areas of central and eastern Thailand in the past week have killed 94 people, offi cials said today. The floods, which began on 10 October, have affected millions of people, submerging homes and farmland. The death toll has been increased by the Emergency Medical Institute of Thailand, which previously said that 32 people had died. As of Friday morning Bangkok remains unaffected, although authorities are sand-bagging the banks of the Chao Praya river.
