Hello Kitty theme park opens in Japan

Girls across Asia will be excited to hear that a new ‘Hello Kitty’ theme park has opened in Tokyo. Hello Kitty’s Kawaii Paradise, the first theme park dedicated to the cute cat character, opened of Friday and will feature a theatre showing animated Hello Kitty programmes projected onto its ceiling in multiple languages, including Chinese and English. Other offerings include a boat ride, a restaurant serving Hello Kitty pancakes, and a 891m2 gift shop offering a mass of pink merchandise. The park’s operator, PleasureCast Co, said it is expecting to attract approximately 700,000 visitors in its first year.
