Thai Tiger may be delayed

The first Thai Tiger Airways (TTA) flight may be delayed for up to two months from its scheduled March 2011 launch, the Bangkok Post has reported the Thai Airways International’s (THAI) Chairman, Ampon Kittiampon, as saying. Additional time required to complete the joint venture negotiations, plus a possible legal challenge from Thailand’s Transport Ministry may cause the delays, it was reported. Kittiampon stressed however, that he was “confident” that the new low-cost carrier would be operational by March next year.
