Visitor records tumble at World Expo

A total of 1.03 million people visited the World Expo in Shanghai on Saturday, a record daily total for the event. According to a Xinhua report, the Expo has now received 64.6 million visitors, exceeding the previous record total of 64 million visitors set at the 1970 World Expo in Osaka. Organisers in Shanghai have set a target of 70 million visitors by the end of the event on 31 October.
