Asian Games torch lit at Great Wall

The 2010 Asian Games flame was ignited in a traditional ceremony at the Great Wall of China on Saturday morning. Kang Chenchen, a 22 year-old student from Yunnan Arts University, was entrusted with the task of lighting the torch, using a concave mirror to focus the sun’s rays to ignite the fl ame. The torch will now travel to Beijing, Harbin, Changchun, Haiyang and 20 cities of Guangdong province before arriving in Guangzhou for the Games, which will run from 12-27 November.
