Seoul-Busan high speed rail link to open
Published on Oct 8, 2010
The high-speed rail link connecting Seoul and Busan in South Korea will open on 1 November. The Korean Herald reported the country’s Ministry of Land, Transportation & Maritime Affairs as saying this week that the line would cut the overland travel time between the two cities to just over two hours. The move is the first part of a state plan to make everywhere in the country reachable in 90 minutes by 2017. The Seoul-Busan line connects the newly-created East Daegu-Busan and existing Seoul-East Daegu line.
