New highway to connect China and Mongolia

Published on Oct 7, 2010

A new highway will be developed linking China and Mongolia, Xinhua has reported. The CNY2.5 billion (US$37 million) project will stretch 245km, connecting Mongolia’s southwest Omnogovi Aymag province with Ganqimaodu, a border town in China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The new road link is expected to improve economic development and improve trade between the two countries.
